Home stretch...
Hey friends! We're home...back in the studio. Putting finishing touches on two new additions to our new record. Doing some singing on "Weapons" and "Two Hands" that have become two quick favorites of everyone.
We just finished a set at the American Folk Festival in Montgomery Bell Park outside of Nashville. Some of you are saying to yourself, where have I heard of this park before? Well, my friends, it's where the movie "Ernest Goes To Camp" was filmed. Yup. Believe it.
There was an amazing photographer there named Scott Simontacchi, who is absolutely fantastic. Here's our snapshot from the preshow.

We're working to finish this record soon! Next thing is the Christmas tour. It's upon us! Check out the dates, and if we're near you, come out and enjoy a Christmas Pageant like you've never experienced.
Be well!

Hi Guys.
Soup, music, and home...these are a few of my favorite things : ]
I got "Good Monsters" for my birthday...yes I was a little behind on my JOC collection. However, it's great and I can't stop listening to it. The more I listen the more I like. So now I'm having to wait for your next record and the waiting is not fun. Glad to hear you're working hard!!!

About Home..
Hey Guys,
I'm still kinda floaty and cloud nine-ish from your visit to Denver for the Music Builds Tour and Blood:Water conversation. I hope your trip home was full of joy, and your time there full of light. --Blessings to you all, come back to my home in Colorful Colorado soon!!
Kate Rusby

Awesome photo :) Hey, I was wondering where the Drummer Boy video on youtube was filmed? Just curious...
I CANNOT WAIT for the new album come spring ^^ I might have to pre-order it.
Big fan...bad news
OK...I've been a JOC fan forever...yea I'm way old...so when I say this, I mean with love and respect. I consider this an intervention.
Whoever the misguided soul was who told you guys you weren't cool or whatever should be shot...or at least flogged. The highlight of my trip to Orlando to Rock the Universe was to be the few precious moments of stage time allotted for Jars, however, imagine my disappointment when you guys, somewhere in the past couple years, decided that dressing alike and wearing shades and bouncing around the stage like you were teenagers was necessary! It seemed like a WHAM concert! I waited for about 15 minutes hoping it was just a joke. You have been known to be quite witty. Then...I just walked away and called my Son at college who shared my horror.
Guys...just be who you are. I'm just sayin'

I understand what you mean. I believe thay are trying to be more modern. They don't have to go as far as shades, but still. It's the 21st Century man!

Hi,
I went to your concert in Merrivvile, IN and Star Plaza Theatre. Nice job! I never really heard many of your songs, and didn't know what to expect. I only heard 2 of your songs before the concert (Flood and I'll Fly away). I was surprised. Very. Surprised.I expected it to be like a Casting Crowns concert, and It was totally different!

Thank you Again for serving with a deep heart!
Hello Gentleman of JOC,
I wanted to thank you for the great "Love Came Down on Christmas" concert on 12/14 with Sara Groves, Leeland, Sixpence None the Richer, and special guests. It was hugely successfull in that you did touch a lot of lives, the music was perfect, and the atmosphere was euphoric. I love going to your concerts because I always make a lot of new friends- I now have a "concert buddy" to go with to future concerts (Thanks, Jackie!) and I met a nice man from Brazil who is also another huge fan. You guys not only put out great music but also bring people from all over together- what a blessing! Steve and Mark, by the way- you sport the beards extremely well. I also want to thank you for highlighting the Blood: Water Mission cause to everyone. It has weighed on my heart lately because of my own issue with water. It is incredible the number of references in the Bible concering water and it is staggering that just $1 can supply a year's worth of water to 1 African. We can all do so much to help this world and I thank you for giving your audience the opportunity to do so. You may or may not hear this a lot, but thank you- especially during this Christmas season- for taking time away from your family and loved ones to be on tour and help spread the Gospel through your music. You are exceptional people and I really meant it when I told you that "Needful Hands" is my favorite song, because it helps me see the Lord more every time I hear it. That was the arrow from Cupid's bow that made me fall in love with JOC. You may grow weary and tired from touring, recording, etc sometimes but remember you are making a tremendous difference. Remember Psalm 133:1-3- you guys exemplify that.
With Love- Mark 10:45,
Diana "The Furnace" E.
