Greetings, earthlings! It's a quiet Sunday on the road, and i wanted to check in and give some updates from our world out here. The Music Builds Tour is starting to wind down, sadly. I write this from Oklahoma City, and there are only 4 shows left! Hard to believe... it's been great in many ways. Let me count them. On second thought, i'll just list a few. The bands out here really have been great- a refreshing mutual respect, diverse evening of music, large audiences, and all for a great cause (Habitat for Humanity). Sure, we wish we could have played a longer set, and hated to hear that some of you arrived only to hear us say Thank you and goodnight... but it's been great to play for a somewhat new audience, or in many cases, re-introduce ourselves. Playing a few new songs has been very energizing, and response seems great.

One of the highlights of this tour was getting out and helping build a couple Habitat homes along the way. Here are a few pics of us pushes the limits of our bodies along with Third Day and Switchfoot. It was great to get away from the venue and just be servants together.

We're excited to get back home, rest up, and jump back into Sputnik to put some finishing touches on this record. We'll try and do another update from the studio and let you in on a little more of the music and thoughts behind the record. We are also looking toward the December tour w/ Sara Groves, Sixpence and Leeland. Both Sara and Sixpence have new Christmas records coming out in the next month that sounds really great, so another round of fresh music for your holiday season!! :) It should be an interesting and engaging evening of collaboration in song.

On to a lighter note, we four Jars have just started "Twitter-ing" in the last few weeks. No, that's not a medical condition, it's a light social networking website/application. It's been really fun, and we'd love to invite you to "follow" us. It's easy to sign up, and search for friends or others in your town or across the country that have signed up. Think of it as Facebook lite. We've been updating quite often from our phones, and it's a fun way to stay connected a little more, and let you in on the quirkiness and purpose that often surrounds Jars of Clay. Where we can't necessarily "follow" all of you, we can see your responses to our posts, and then respond back. Let's give it a shot and see how it goes... see you online.
