We christened it "Rauckland."

I’m flying from Auckland to Brisbane with that lovely glaze in my eyes. Last night’s show was fantastic. A lovely audience that brought it all – and I feel like we returned serve.
Example
All-in-all, a great day. We hit the market outside the Edge theatre, and wandered down High Street, watching the fashionistas. I was put off a bit, trying to find some clothes, but there’ll be more shopping in Melbourne. Fingers crossed.
Example
We hit the ground running today…a two ½ hr drive outside of Brisbane for the show. Immediately load in & get a soundcheck. This isn’t so bad on the front end, as we’re glad to stay moving. The sitting is the worst. We play fairly late, turn around, and drive back to Brisbane for a spot of sleep and another crack of dawn flight. There are a few of us doing the “man of leisure” trip schedule which has some built in time in Melbourne to recover. Looking forward to that.

"Rauckland" is fairly appropriate, but have you considered "Jarkland"? I'm a Wellingtonian myself, but I'm sure the Aucklanders wouldn't mind a teensy weensy name change :)

I can think of a few new names for Auckland

Fab concert guys. I had friends from all over the country fly and roadtrip up for it (we made the mad drive from Wellington). Everyone left the show with a lovely content feeling.

That was superb. It was the best concert I've been to (cf Neil Young, U2 & "The Band") and there was no sense that half of what we were hearing was a backing track. We were really hearing a group of musicians play well together.

I didn't know any of the Monsters songs but loved them. Now that's a buying priority.

"Don't Change" was probably my favourite INXS song and you nailed it! So that gives you 2 years to work on a Midnight Oil song for the next visit.
